Pool Service Q&As
Q: My water looks cloudy why?
Answer. Always check your pool chemistry first. High PH, phosphates, or not enough sanitizer can cause cloudy water. If all chemistry is correct, look to your filter. You may have a problem with your filtering system.
Q: Why is my pool green?
Answer. Most times if your water turns green, there is not enough sanitizer in the water. Always check your phosphate levels as soon as any algae is present, and treat ASAP.
Q: Is it normal to have air bubbles coming back through my return lines?
Answer. NO!! Air coming back through your returns is a sign of a suction leak at your pump system. Not addressing this can only lead to bigger problems.
Call a pool pro to pressure test your system to determine where the leaks are and fix them.
Q: Why is my pressure low?
Answer. Though one. Could be a number of things. Easiest things check: first, is your water at the correct level in pool? Second, is your pump basket empty of debris? Theird, is your pump lid and oring installed correctly, lubed and tight enough ( just good and hand tight )? Past that call a pool pro!
Q: Why is my pressure high?
Answer. Easiest thing here is to clean/backwash your filter. Again, past that call a pool pro.
Q: where should I keep my water level at?
Answer. Water level should be maintained at 1/2 way up your skimmer mouth at all times. Too high pool will not clean efectively, too low and system will run dry which is bad.
